Kayaking and Canoeing

The Eel River, of course, flows right past the Brewery. Keep following the flow and what do you get? A gorgeous location for canoeing and kayaking! It's the Eel River Delta! The river's estuary has a wealth of wildlife in an isolated tidal region...one of those magical places where fresh water meets salt water, where the long journey of the Eel ends at the ocean. A canoe or a kayak is a perfect way to get up close and personal with the birds, fish and mammals that populate the delta and Cock Robin Island. A new boat ramp at the foot of Cock Robin Island Road off Loleta's Cannibal Road your access to the estuary.
Off course this is just one of the many awesome waterways in Humboldt County, a canoeing and kayaking paradise. Rivers, bays, harbors, sloughs, lagoons, lakes, and the Pacific Ocean itself combine to offer endless choices. After a long day on the water, you're sure to be ready for an excellent dinner and a couple of cold pints of delicious organic beer at Eel River Brewing Company's Tap Room and Grill.
