Bookkeeper/Small Business Accountant

Our company is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant to assist in managing our day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills and accuracy are important qualifications for this position. The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled multi-tasker, is reliable and is committed to consistently meeting deadlines. Duties will include posting payment from clients, filing, tracking time for client billing, processing vendor invoices for payment and other duties as assigned.

Bookkeeper/Small Business Accountant responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Balance and maintain accurate ledgers
• Match purchase orders with invoices
• Report financial results on a regular basis
• Monitor office expenses and tally and enter cash receipts
• Pay vendor invoices and track bank account balances
• Develop monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss statements and balance sheets
• Process bi-weekly employee payroll payments on time and through the appropriate channels

Bookkeeper/Small Business Accountant Skills
• Proficient in small business payroll
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
• Extensive experience with data entry, record keeping and computer operation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and Sage
• Experience in services related to payroll such as writing checks and submitting payroll taxes
• Experience in the hospitality industry preferred
• Excellent mathematics and communication skills
• Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality
