GETTING BEER FROM THE TAPROOM & GRILL
There is always the option to get a pint of any one of Eel River Brewing Company's beers at our Taproom & Grill or you can get a taster and try them all! But did you know that there are three other ways that you can take beer home with you?
GROWLERS
A growler is a glass jug that can be filled with fresh beer right from the tap. Our growlers cost $12 to buy, but once you have one, you can reuse it again and again. Not only are you getting the freshest beer possible, but you're being sustainable by reusing the growler - here at Eel River Brewing, we're all about sustainability. Our growlers are 64 ounces and the cost to fill one up is only $7.99 for our regular beers and $12.99 for our specialty beers.
There are a few guidelines that we have to follow with the growlers, though. By state law we can only fill Eel River Brewing Company growlers with Eel River Brewing Company beer. This means that we can't fill growlers from other breweries. The law states that the beer in the growlers must be consistent with the label on the growler. Also, we ask that you bring your growler in clean and ready to fill up with one of our delicious brews.

KEGS
To get a keg, it's a good idea to give us a call (707-764-1772) ahead of time to reserve the style and size keg that you want. We ask for keg orders a week in advance; however, depending on what we have in inventory, we can usually fill keg reservations on short notice. The farther in advance we can get your order, the easier it is to set aside a keg for you.
If you don't have a jockey box or kegerator we offer tap pumps to tap the keg and pour the beer. There is a $5 rental fee on the tap pump along with a $35 deposit. There is also a $125 deposit on all kegs. These deposits are fully refundable upon return of equipment.
Kegs are picked up at our Taproom and Grill in Fortuna during business hours. Please bring your ID when you come to pick up the keg. We ask that you try to avoid picking up a keg at lunch or dinner time as the keg checkout process is handled by the bartender. If you do come during this time, you might have to grab a seat at our 30-foot long Redwood bar and grab a pint while you wait. Generally the keg checkout will take 15 minutes or less.
We keg all of our beers in 1/2 bbl (15.5 gallon) and 1/6 bbl (5.16 gallon) kegs. The 1/2 bbl kegs serve 124 16oz servings or 165 12oz servings and the 1/6 bbl kegs serve 41 16oz servings or 54 12oz servings.
