Eel River Brewing Company, Humboldt Bay Coffee, and Dick Taylor Chocolate – all local Humboldt businesses – have come together to create a new kind of product.

It’s a chocolate and coffee beer called the Single Origin Mocha Stout.

The brewing company experimented with 7 different types of chocolate and 7 different kinds of coffee to get it just right.

“It’s a really cool concept of local artisans and people making really high end products coming together and just showing everybody what Humboldt County is capable of,” said Eel River Brewing Company Operations Manager, Matt Vivatson, “Not just in a beer, not just in coffee or chocolate, but how we come together as a community and put out a really cool, unique product.”

The product was released Wednesday at the Eel River Brewing Company Pub and Thursday at Bittersweet in Arcata.

After that it will available throughout the county.
